E P Accountants was built on payroll and grew into a full accountancy practice, one client relationship at a time.
Our founder, Emma-Jayne Plant, did not start out in an office. She spent nine years running her own business as a publican, dealing first-hand with staff, timesheets, rotas and all the pressures of being an employer. That experience shapes how we work today: we understand what running a business is actually like.
Emma went on to train and qualify with the AAT, gained a management degree in payroll, spent many years running a busy payroll office and then set up the practice. Today we work with a wide range of businesses, from sole traders and tradespeople to limited companies, clubs and organisations with large payrolls, providing accounts, tax, bookkeeping, VAT and payroll.
More and more of our clients sell online, so we are bringing that same experience into the e-commerce world with specialist e-commerce accounting for Amazon, Shopify and multi-channel sellers.

Emma founded the practice after nine years as a publican and many years running a busy payroll office. She is AAT qualified, holds a management degree in payroll and is a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals. Clients describe her as knowledgeable, approachable and always at the other end of the phone.

Lauren began her journey with the practice as an apprentice, initially working in business administration before progressing into accountancy and studying towards her AAT qualifications. Having worked her way through the profession, she is now fully AAT qualified, an AAT member and a co-Director of the practice.
Having grown with the practice from the very beginning of her career, Lauren is passionate about building strong client relationships and providing a reliable, approachable and personal service.
